Malace|HR Proud To Serve Those Who Serve

Malace|HR will take part in the “Hiring Our Heroes” career fair on April 11th, 2012 in Dearborn, MI
What is better than giving back to all the heroes that put their lives on the line, for our freedom, safety and happiness?  Malace|HR believes that the “Heroes for Hire” act, recently passed by the senate this year, will not only benefit the veterans, but businesses will be rewarded for putting heroes back to work.  With the nation’s unemployment rate at 8.3%, the rate for post 9-11 veterans has been as high as 12.1% and 30% for veterans under 25 years of age.

As a National provider of staffing solutions, Malace is uniquely positioned to assist separating and recently separated Veterans throughout the country with their transition to the civilian workforce (including resume writing, interview preparation and placement with employers who recognize and appreciate the skill set and work ethic these heroes bring to their work-site).

Malace|HR’s Veteran Outreach efforts include partnerships with the VA, the VFW, Michigan Works and the State of Michigan Workforce Development Agency Veteran Services Division as well as active participation in the U.S. Marine Corps Transition Assistance Program (TAP). They are also pursuing other avenues to reach out to these heroes and find them work!

Risk & Safety Manager Martin DiLoreto (a veteran of two tours with the U.S. Coast Guard) says on behalf of the team, “We are proud to be considered a resource for these men and women who have served faithfully and now need some guidance and direction as they convert their military skills to a civilian equivalent. We employ hundreds of Veterans throughout the United States, including several amongst our corporate staff, and are proud to continue that tradition.”

For Account Manager Jessica Dues, this effort is more than just a collateral duty. As the daughter of a former Marine, Jessica has benefited from her Father’s service and is honored and pleased to spearhead the company’s efforts to give back to the Military community. “This is something I feel compelled to do for my father; kind of as a tribute to his life and service in the military.” She continues, “Helping those who dedicated their life to helping keep our freedom, find employment, is the LEAST I can do.”

Malace|HR is pleased to participate in the “Hiring our Heroes” Career Fair, (an initiative started by NBC News and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce) scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 11th at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center from 11AM – 3PM. Malace|HR is eager to meet America’s heroes!
